Simple WordPress Installation

In order to help facilitate the spread of WordPress, we have started to offer complimentary non-commercial installations. This is called our Simple WordPress Installation.

The Simple WordPress Installation is available for:

  • Personal, Non-Commercial Users
  • New Installations (No Upgrades)
  • One Offer Per Person

The Simple WordPress Installation does not include:

  • Accounts Hosted with GoDaddy, InMotion or Yahoo
  • Hosting
  • Domain Name
  • DNS Resolution or Troubleshooting
  • Plugin Installation, Configuration or Customization
  • System Customization, Instruction or Training
  • Theme Customization
  • Support of Any Nature
  • Website Content - WordPress Only!
  • Web Server Configuration

While these limitations may seem extreme, please keep in mind that you are getting a fully functional system, installed completely without charge to you. We are more than happy to provide additional services to you at a later time - but there will most certainly be a charge for those services.

Also, please realize that this is a free service, and resources are allocated as they become available - so it may take a short while to work our way through the queue. We also reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time.

Additional links to WordPress information and resources will be provided after installion - we won't leave you in a lurch, but we also are not going to hold your hand either. This offer is provided to help the spread of WordPress - not to rob us of what little free time we have remaining! Thanks for understanding.

If you are not comfortable with these limitations, or feel that you need more than is offered, please consider the Standard WordPress Installation instead.

In order to begin, the Simple WordPress Installation requires you to:

  • Have a Web Host Meeting the System Requirements
  • Have a Domain Name
  • Provide Hosting Account Access via FTP
  • Provide Hosting Account Login Details (Control Panel is Ideal)
  • Provide MySQL Access via MySQLMan, phpMyAdmin or SSH
  • Provide a Link Back to Everitz Consulting on Your Web Page

In order to install WordPress, we will need to create a MySQL database. This requires access to your Hosting Account. Most Hosting Accounts have a control panel of some sort - cPanel, Gpanel, or perhaps a proprietary version. This is what we need to create your database. Access to the database once created, through MySQLMan, phpMyAdmin, or SSH, is also required. Finally, we will also need FTP access to copy the distribution files to your server and change permissions on files if necessary.
